More Trains To Serve Tet Travel Demand
According to Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, nine more trains will run on the Hai Phong - Hanoi route to serve people’s travel demand during Tet 2024 – the year’s most important traditional holiday.
The Hanoi - Hai Phong route will run more LP9 trains from Hanoi station on February 7th (or Lunar December 28th), and HP4 trains will depart at Hai Phong station on February 13th and 14th (or Lunar January 4th and 5th). Vietnam Railways Corporation still applies many preferential policies to support train passengers, such as discounts for social policy beneficiaries, trade union members, passengers with customer cards, and a 5% discount on return tickets for passengers purchasing round-trip tickets. In particular, students will receive a 10 - 20% discount on ticket prices depending on the day of travel. After more than two months of Lunar New Year 2024 train ticket purchases, more than 207,000 tickets have been sold. Currently, it still depends on the train brand, route, and travel date. Accordingly, before Tet, tickets are still available for all dates, including those before February 1st, 2024, and February 8th and 9th, 2024 (or Lunar December 22nd, and December 29th and 30th). Meanwhile, only a few tickets remained available from February 2nd to February 7th, 2024 (or Lunar December 23rd to 28th)./.
