Cargo throughput in the first 9 months equal to the figure of 2012

According to Hai Phong Port Authority, by the end of September 2014, Hai Phong seaport areas received 13,373 ship arrivals, an increase of 10% as compared to the same period of 2013 and 8,070 inland waterway vessel arrivals, up 24% over the same period last year.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.28% in August 2014 as compared to the previous month

As reported by Haiphong Department of Industry and Trade at the regular meeting convened by Haiphong Peoples Committee in August 2014, the total turnover of retail goods in August of 2014 alone is estimated at 5,490.6 billion dong, up 13. 9% over the same period. Accordingly, in the first 8 months of the year,  this figure in the localty is estimated at 42,597.4 billion dong, up 11.8% compared to the same period in 2013 and fulfilled 63.5% of the year’s plan.
