This marks the third consecutive year that TC - HICT port welcomes the 1 millionth TEU, and is also the earliest year to achieve this milestone, highlighting the exceptional potential and hard work of the entire leadership and staff of the port.

From the beginning of the year until now, TC-HICT has set new records in terms of output when January reached 148,720 TEU, May reached 149,772 TEU, and July achieved 154,524 TEU. In 2024, TC-HICT has achieved the 1 millionth TEU milestone in just 8 months, demonstrating the impressive development potential of the Lach Huyen area in particular and Hai Phong seaport in general, emphasizing the necessity for investment and attracting major service lines to operate in the shipping area. The success of TC-HICT has laid the foundation for Hai Phong city to develop additional ports in the Lach Huyen area, contributing to the industrialization and modernization of the country, and creating numerous opportunities to promote socio-economic development in the city and the Northern region as a whole. 

Since receiving the first container for cargo on May 13, 2018, TC-HICT has managed 13 maritime service routes, including 7 trans-Pacific services directly to the USA, 2 Indian service lines, and other Inner Asia service lines. With its modern facilities, newly invested, synchronous and advanced equipment, and smart information technology system, TC-HICT port has risen to become the leading port enterprise in Hai Phong city, in terms of cargo throughput.
