Port infrastructure provides a strong foundation for Hai Phong's logistic industry
The rapid development of port infrastructure has provided a strong foundation for Hai Phong's logistics industry and strengthened the city's international connectivity. Hai Phong has focused resources on accelerating investment in and development of Lach Huyen International Gateway Port, achieving significant progress.

To date, berths 1 to 6 at Lach Huyen Port have been put into operation, with a combined capacity of 4.7 million TEUs per year. The port can accommodate container vessels of up to 200,000 deadweight tons (DWT), among the world's largest.
Preparations are also underway for investment in berths 7 to 12, with construction expected to begin later this year. Once completed, Lach Huyen Port will have a total handling capacity of 10.2 million TEUs per year, further reinforcing its role as one of Vietnam's leading maritime gateways and an important hub for the region.

More than three weeks after the nationwide rollout of E10 biofuel gasoline, authorities have introduced a range of measures to help stabilize the market.
Market Management Team No. 5 under the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade has been working with relevant agencies to monitor and inspect fuel trading activities across its assigned area. At the same time, feedback from residents through the department's 13 public hotline numbers has helped strengthen market oversight.
Mr. Hoang Dinh Cong, Deputy Head, Market Management Team No. 5, Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade
Market inspections have been carried out rigorously. Authorities have taken action against violations such as selling fuel that does not comply with the E10 transition roadmap, hoarding supplies, suspending sales without authorization, failing to clearly display prices or fuel types, and imposing unreasonable price increases, helping ensure a stable fuel supply for production and consumption.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Khuong, Head, Market Management Team No. 11, Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade:
The department has assigned officers to oversee individual areas, with each officer accountable for any violations related to the E10 transition roadmap. It has also stepped up inspections to promptly detect and crack down on fraudulent practices that undermine market stability.
