Credit policy stabilizes social security
As an important tool and solution in poverty reduction, credit policy programs have helped tens of thousands of poor and near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the city access preferential loans and invest in production and business.
With outstanding debt up to now of nearly 13,200 billion VND, mainly for credits to poor households, projects of upgrading clean water and rural environmental sanitation works, job creation, credits to cover study fees for students, etc., credit policy has helped localities effectively implement the program of building new rural areas according to the roadmap, including criteria on poverty rate, income, housing and education.
The close and responsible coordination between the Bank for Social Policies, local authorities and entrusted organizations and unions has helped people to make full use of the loans, earn money to repay loans on time and accumulate capital for reinvestment, contributing to completing the criteria in the national target program on building new rural areas.
After the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city and the merger of the Bank for Social Policies of the two localities, the entire branch has maintained the network of 369 transaction points in communes, wards and special zones, facilitating poor households and other policy beneficiaries access preferential credit capital from the Government, invest in production and business development, improve living conditions raise their knowledge and stabilize their lives.
