The 2024 Hai Phong City Red Cross First Aid Skills Competition, themed "Joining Hands for a Safe Community," attracted the participation of 115 officials, members, volunteers, and youth representatives from 16 district and county units, as well as universities in the city. This is the 7th time the city’s Red Cross organization has organized this competition to reinforce knowledge and practical first aid skills, ensuring readiness to respond to and mitigate injuries in the community while further promoting the role of the Red Cross organization in public health care.

In addition to organizing the first aid competition every two years, the organization regularly conducts training courses for volunteers of levels 1 and 2, helping them acquire essential community-based first aid knowledge and skills.

Through community-based first aid training courses, the knowledge and skills of Red Cross volunteers are enhanced while awareness among the public about the risks of accidents and injuries as well as the importance of first aid in emergencies are raised. This encourages everyone to participate in first aid training to be able to self-rescue or assist those around them, contributing to reducing serious injuries in daily life./.
