With the theme "Linking to Promote the Development of Smart Manufacturing Supply Chains," the experts discussed solutions to enhance the smart manufacturing supply chain in the sub-region industrial parks, thus creating opportunities for industrial parks along the Eastern Highway corridor to effectively connect with the global smart manufacturing supply chain. To leverage the advantages of localities and enable the economic linkage area along the Eastern Highway corridor to attract investments from multinational corporations in the coming years, Hai Phong City proposed four recommendations, including: Focus on strong investment in developing modern and synchronized infrastructure and strengthen regional linkages in developing multimodal transport systems, improving logistics service quality; Actively research and propose mechanisms and policies for the region to exploit the potential and strengths of each locality in attracting investment, with a focus on developing green, sustainable industries and reducing greenhouse gas emissions; Cooperate to maximize each locality's advantage in training high-quality human resources; Promote the establishment of research and development centers, innovation, and creativity within the economic linkage area along the Eastern Highway corridor, improving the capacity to absorb capital and participate in the global smart production and supply chain.

At the Forum, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) also announced the Eastern Highway Sub-region Economic Report which provides a comprehensive analysis of the economic situation, business environment, infrastructure, and sustainable development efforts of the Vietnamese Eastern Highway Economic Corridor Council (VEHEC)./.
