Red Flamboyant – The symbol of HaiPhong city
Ladies and gentlemen, Haiphong Red Flamboyant festival - an annual festival has been held since 2012 with an aim of introducing Haiphong city’s red flamboyant attached to local tourism development as well as contributing to popularizing the city cultural characteristics. Accordingly, in the city green tree planning, planting, caring and developing red flamboyant always received great concerns from the city government.

Flamboyant festival - an annual festival has been held since 2012 with an aim
of introducing Haiphong city’s red flamboyant attached to local tourism development
as well as contributing to popularizing the city cultural characteristics.
Accordingly, in the city green tree planning, planting, caring and developing
red flamboyant always received great concerns from the city government.
Since the first Haiphong Red flamboyant festival was held in 2012, the
city government conducted to plant more red flamboyant trees along streets, edge
of the city and city gates. Over the past years, more than 2.000 red flamboyant
trees have been plants, increasing the total of red flamboyant trees in
Haiphong city to over 17 thousand trees; the number of red flamboyant trees is
expected to occupy from 50% to 60% of total green trees in Haiphong.
Currently, Pham Van
Dong road which connects to Do Son resort is considered as “flower road” in
summer with more than 4 thousand red flamboyant trees. After the opening
ceremony of Haiphong Red Flamboyant festival, visitors can enjoy thousands of
red flamboyant trees along streets and tourist destinations./.
