International tourists to Vietnam multiplied by 4.7 times in the first nine months of 2023
The socio-economic report released by Vietnam’s General Department of Statistics on September 29th morning showed 1,054,449 foreign visits to Vietnam in September 2023.
Compared to August, international visitors to Vietnam increased by 13.4%, 2.4 times higher than last year. The first nine months of 2023 saw 8.9 million foreign tourists coming to Vietnam, 4.7 times more than the same period in 2022, but only accounting for 69% of 2019’s–the year before COVID-19. The number means that the country’s tourism sector has exceeded the entire-year goal of 8 million international visits in only nine months of 2023./.
