City determined to achieve all targets in 2013
Haiphong City already set targets for the year 2013 to renovate the growth model; adjust the economic and investment structure; focus on solving difficulties; maintain and foster production and business at a proper growth rate; host successfully the National Tourism Year in Red River Delta 2013; and create impetus for fast development in subsequent years. Details are follows:
Economic targets:
- GDP grows at 8.5-9.0% as compared to 2012, in which: agriculture-forestry-aquaculture sector rises by 4.6-4.8%; industry-construction sector increases by 6.0-6.6%; and service sector climbs up 10.9-11.36%;
- Economic structure: density of agriculture-forestry-aquaculture sector, industry-construction sector and service sector are 9.3%, 37% and 53.7%, respectively;
- Agricultural-forestry-aquatic production value rises 5.9-6.1% as compared to 2012, in which agricultural production value goes up by 5.0-5.2%; and aquatic production value up by 8.5-8.7%;
- Index of industrial production (IIP) rises 6.5-7.5% over 2012;
- Export turnover increases 15.0-16.0% over 2012;
- Total capital expenditures come up at more than VND 40,000 billion, a rise of 4.58% from 2012;
- Volume of goods through ports achieves more than 51 million tons, increasing 4.3% over 2012;
- Tax collection in the city achieves VND 49,379 billion, up 24.95% from 2012, in which collection from custom activities is VND 38,845 billion, up 27.26%; and collection from domestic activities attains VND 9,372 billion, up 24.96%;
- To attract about 5 million turns of tourists, increasing 11.09% over 2012;
- New rural construction: the whole city achieves an average of 10 criteria under the National Standards of New Rural.
Social targets:
- Natural population growth remains stable at below 1%;
- To create jobs for about 51,000 labors, increasing 3% over 2012, in which the density of skilled labors makes up 72%;
- To reduce poor family ratio down to 3.15%;
- To get 69.2% of population insured with health insurance.
Environmental targets:
- To achieve 97-98% of rural population using sanitary water;
- More than 95% of urban wastes to be collected and well treated.
Party building targets:
- To admit 3,500-3,600 new members to the Party.
