According to the Government’s Decision No. 2009 dated September 11, 2025 on approving the adjustment of the General Construction Planning of Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone by 2045, the total area of the adjusted planning covers about 22,540 hectares. The goal is to specify the targets, tasks, solutions and new orientations in the Resolutions and policies of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government and especially the National Sectoral Planning, to build Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone in the direction of a dynamic integrated economic zone, with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system to become a maritime economic center of the Northern region. It is the driving force for the development of Hai Phong city.
Addressing at the conference, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyễn Tường Văn emphasized that with the important role and significance of the integrated maritime economic zone, an important economic development center of the Northern coastal region and the country, he requested Hai Phong city, the Economic Zone Authority and relevant departments, localities... to coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to promptly deploy and maximize the outstanding pilot mechanisms and policies in Resolution No. 226 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong city, developing the Hai Phong Free Trade Zone into an international-scale production, logistics, trade - service, high technology and finance center…
