Preparations for Cat Ba tourism 2026
In 2026, the Cat Hai Special Zone aims to welcome over 4.7 million arrivals, develop tourism in a green, sustainable manner while preserving the World Natural Heritage values of Ha Long Bay – Cat Ba Archipelago. This year, the locality is also intensifying green transformation at the Viet Hai community tourism site for 2025–2030, aiming to make Cat Ba a “four-season destination.”

Preparations for the 2026 tourism season are being carried out comprehensively, with the focus on infrastructure upgrades, environmental hygiene, public security, traffic safety, and search and rescue. Urban improvements, service regulation, price transparency, and service quality enhancement are also prioritized.
Alongside the authorities, local tourism businesses are proactively renewing products, upgrading services, and developing experiences linked to nature, bay tourism, resorts, and entertainment aligned with green tourism trends.
A series of cultural, sports, and tourism events for the 2026 summer season is also being finalized with new highlights, promising strong attraction from the start of the season. With coordinated and proactive preparation from both authorities and businesses, Cat Ba is ready to enter the new tourism season, aiming to become a key northern tourism hub and an appealing regional destination.
