Literary And Artistic Contest In Honor Of Nguyen Binh Khiem
On the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the Principal Graduate Nguyen Binh Khien’s death (1585 - 2035), the city’s UNESCO Campaign Committee honoring the late Vietnamese scholar (nicknamed Trang Trinh) has just held a launching ceremony for a literary and artistic competition about Trang Trinh.

The competition includes two artistic genres: Songs and stage scripts, with content praising the life, career, merits, and great contributions of Nguyen Binh Khiem to the literature, culture, and education scene of Vietnam in general and of Hai Phong City in particular. The contestants can be musicians, professional and non-professional writers, artists in all fields, or people who simply love composing songs and stage scripts. All Vietnamese citizens living, working, and studying in Vietnam or overseas, as well as foreigners living, studying, and working in Vietnam, can register for the contest.

The organizers will receive entries until the end of November 2024 (authors living afar’s entry dates will be set based on the postmark of the sender’s place and date). The preliminary judging period will take place in December 2024. The results announcement and awarding time will be held from April 2025 to May 2025./.
