Linking Viet Nam cultural day with national great unity day
Viet Nam Prime Minister has signed Directive No. 35 on the organization of Viet Nam Cultural Day in conjunction with National Great Unity Day in 2026.
Accordingly, the celebrations are to be organized solemnly and nationwide, with diverse, lively, joyful and meaningful activities marking Vietnam Cultural Day on November 24, in conjunction with National Great Unity Day on November 18 and a week-long series of activities celebrating national great unity in communities, residential areas, villages and residential groups.
The activities will put people at the center, as participants, creators and beneficiaries, helping inspire patriotism, national pride, civic responsibility and the aspiration to contribute and serve among all segments of society, particularly younger generations.
Each provincial- and commune-level locality is required to review and select at least one outstanding cultural activity, product, story or cultural space for introduction and promotion, linking it with tourism promotion, demand stimulation and the development of cultural industries. The initiative aims to help build culturally distinctive grassroots communities that are bright, green, clean and beautiful.
