The “LG INNOTEK HAI PHONG FACTORY PROJECT” by LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd in Trang Due Industrial Park was granted Investment Registration Certificate in 2016 by the Economic Zone’s Management Board and in September 2017, the factory officially came into operation. The project has a total investment of more than 1 billion USD to produce camera module products, with more than 3.500 employees. In 2022, the project's revenue reached 78.2 trillion VND, export revenue reached 78.2 trillion VND, import revenue reached 64.7 trillion VND, and profit was 2.5 trillion VND. With this capital increase of LG Innotek, the city's total FDI capital in the first six months of the year was approximately 1.9 billion USD, accounting for 95% of the year plan, affirming the city's efforts in promoting, investing, and attracting foreign investment. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasized that this is an important event, demonstrating the city's efforts in the task of drastically improving the business investment environment, promoting business and investment, attracting FDI, and contributing to the development of city’s socio-economic, according to the Resolution of the 16th Congress of the City Party Committee and Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo; at the same time, this is also an important milestone marking the development of LG Group in general and LG Innotek Hai Phong in particular in Hai Phong city. 

LG Innotek’s representative sincerely thanks the attention of leaders of Hai Phong City for always accompanying and helping create favorable conditions for the operation of LG Group during the past ten years. He declared that the event had been a clear demonstration of the cooperation between Hai Phong City and the group, including LG Innotek Hai Phong, and expressed hope that the bilateral cooperation would grow more and more effective in the coming time.
