Hai Phong Determined To Exceed Estimated Seaport Infrastructure Revenue
Since the start of the year, Hai Phong Inland Waterways Port Authority has made efforts to coordinate with relevant agencies to collect fees for using works, infrastructure, service works, and public utilities in the Hai Phong seaport border gate area (seaport infrastructure fees) with positive results. Compared to the same period last year, the revenue from all items has grown at an expected level, making an active contribution to the citys budget revenue.

By the end of October, the revenue from seaport infrastructure fees reached more than VND 1,150 trillion, equal to more than 92% of the 2024 revenue estimate of VND 1,250 billion. Compared to the same period last year, the revenue increased by 14%; all types of goods, including temporarily imported and re-exported goods, transit goods, goods stored in foreign warehouses, and regular import and export goods, also had excess revenue.
Hai Phong Inland Waterways Port Authority has also coordinated with the customs agency to conduct a post-clearance audit. Promoting IT and improving the collecting methods has facilitated businesses in the fields of import and export, logistics and customs services in customs clearance as well as payment of seaport infrastructure fees according to regulations.
Currently, Hai Phong Inland Waterways Port Authority has implemented 100% cashless fee collection. The unit has also maintained the operation of one Toll Collection Point to serve the standby work for all possible contingencies in the toll management system. With the current growth rate, the total seaport infrastructure fee collection for the whole year is estimated to reach 1,300 billion VND. This is the second consecutive year exceeding the assigned revenue estimate./.
