Digital technology boosts promotion of OCOP products
As competition intensifies, improving product quality alone is no longer sufficient. Producers are increasingly investing in branding and adopting digital technologies to promote products, expand market access and strengthen sales channels.

Since its launch, Vietnam's One Commune One Product (OCOP) program has helped reshape production in Hai Phong, encouraging farmers to shift from small-scale production toward market-oriented manufacturing with greater emphasis on quality, branding and consumer demand. Many of the city's signature agricultural products have been standardized, upgraded and established their own market identities.

Across the production chain, households, cooperatives and businesses have gradually adopted digital solutions to manage production areas, monitor manufacturing processes, improve product traceability and strengthen quality control.

Alongside efforts to maintain and improve product quality, many OCOP producers are also investing in authentic product storytelling to highlight local identity, build stronger connections with consumers and enhance brand value.

Under the city's development plan, Hai Phong aims to have at least 1,000 OCOP products rated three stars or above by 2030, reinforcing its position as one of Vietnam's leading localities in OCOP development.
