The festival is elaborately choreographed by incredibly unique performances and arts, showing the heroic spirit of the port city rich in historical traditions and typical cultural beauty.  The highlight of the festival is the performance of the Ao Dai collection “Memory,” “Dance of the New Day,” and “Vietnamese Ao Dai.” The stage shows the image of the primitive period 2000 years ago and the changes and specific characteristics of the gown in each historical period. The modern ao dai highlighted the familiar landmarks attached to the land and Hai Phong people, such as the city’s Opera House, the Hai Phong Railway Station, the City Post Office, Tam Bac Lake, etc., and the beauty of the symbolic flower of the port city–the red flamboyant. The musical and dancing numbers intertwined between performances of Ao Dai collections.

The festival aims to honor and elevate the position of Ao Dai in our society, educating people on the costume’s history and promoting spiritual tourism, the image of the country and the Vietnamese people in general, and Hai Phong City in particular in the period of global integration and development.
