Building Hai Phong into a Center for Science and Technology Development
Resolution No. 45 on building and developing Hai Phong City until 2030, with a vision to 2045, clearly defines the Politburos goal of turning Hai Phong into an international center for education, training, research, application, and development of science and technology.
Conclusion No. 96 from the Politburo emphasizes promoting research and application of modern science and technology to serve green economic development and environmental protection and strengthening international cooperation in science and technology, especially marine science and technology. Enhancing the research and application of marine science and technology, which is associated with protecting natural resources and the environment, is a key driver for maintaining and promoting sustainable marine economic development in the city. Scientific and technological human resources are a core element.
In recent years, Hai Phong's scientific and technological human resources have significantly increased in both quantity and quality. This workforce has contributed to the development of various industries and sectors in the city. Therefore, to meet the goal of scientific research, technology development, and innovation as set out in Resolution 57 from the Politburo, the city will continue to implement solutions to develop and improve the quality of its scientific and technological workforce in the coming years./.
