Announcement Of Hai Phong City’s Planning
On January 15th afternoon, the Hai Phong City Peoples Committee held a conference to announce the city’s planning for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, attended and directed the conference. Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Phong City’s Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong City’s National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong City’s Party Committee, Chairman of the City Peoples Committee and members of Hai Phong City Party’s Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the City Peoples Council and the City Peoples Committee, attended the conference.

According to the plan, by 2030, Hai Phong City will become one of the country’s leading seaport cities in industrialization, modernization, and digital transformation, a driving force for development in North Vietnam and the whole country. By 2050, it will be a major seaport city in the region and the world with three development pillars, including seaport/logistics services, a green, smart, modern industry, and an international marine tourism center. In his announcement and congratulations on the decision for Hai Phong City, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha acknowledged and expressed appreciation for all outstanding achievements achieved by Hai Phong City’s Party Committee, government, army, and people in recent times. He also affirmed that Hai Phong City’s planning would be built with breakthrough thinking and long-term vision, opening up great future development opportunities for the city.

On behalf of the city leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong City’s Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee, respectfully thanked the central Government and ministries, central branches, localities, and agencies as well as related organizations for actively directing and supporting the city to complete the planning under regulations. On this occasion, the chairman of the City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to seven typical collectives and one individual for achievements in advising on the preparation, appraisal, and approval of Hai Phong City’s planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. ./.
