"Zero-waste fields" model expands
Tran Lieu Ward has launched and expanded its “Zero-Waste Fields” model, an initiative aimed at raising awareness and responsibility among officials, farmers' association members and local residents in protecting the agricultural environment and building green fields as part of efforts toward sustainable agriculture.
The “Zero-Waste Fields” model plays an important role in collecting and treating agricultural waste, particularly used pesticide packaging. It is also helping change attitudes and encourage environmentally friendly production practices, aiming for a greener, cleaner, safer and more sustainable agriculture.
The model is being expanded to 13 residential areas with agricultural production, with the active participation of local Party organizations, authorities, the Farmers' Association and other mass organizations.
The ward has also launched the campaign “Tran Lieu Farmers Join Hands to Build Zero-Waste Fields,” calling on officials, Party members, association members and residents to take concrete action, including not dumping waste or used pesticide packaging in fields and irrigation canals, disposing of waste at designated sites, and keeping farm roads green and clean.
