Progress Of Tam Bac River Refurbishment Project Phase 2
The Tam Bac River urban refurbishment project phase 2, invested by the Hong Bang District Peoples Committee, has a total cost of more than 557 billion VND, funded by the deputy city budget. Currently, the project is in rapid construction thanks to the district’s authority and the contractor.
The Tam Bac River refurbishment project phase 2, the section from Lac Long Bridge to Hoang Van Thu Bridge, started in 2022 and is expected to be completed in May. The workers are focusing on all items on the project site. At the section from Lac Long bridge to Thuy Doi, the contractor has completed embankment piles and 66/84 anchor piles, as well as installed and painted two layers of riverbank railings with a length of nearly 560m. The contractor has also completed the infrastructure of the 220-meter-long Nguyen Thuong Hien Street connecting to the Tam Bac route.
The section from Thuy Doi to Hoang Van Thu bridge is also undergoing construction, which includes finishing the water supply, wastewater drainage, and communication systems from Cu Chinh Lan Street to the intersection of Ben Binh and Cam Riverside Road. Currently, the contractors are building the embankments and roadbeds. The project's progress has crossed 60% of the overall work volume.
With the entire river embankment length of 819m, the completion of the Tam Bac River embellishment project phase 2 (section from Lac Long bridge to Hoang Van Thu bridge) will contribute to improving connectivity and perfecting the transportation and communications systems, uplifting the urban beauty of the city’s central route, building the urban core of a modern and civilized city./.
