Progress Of Projects At Hai Phong International Gateway Port
On February 20th afternoon, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of Hai Phong Party’s Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Phong City’s Party Committee, and Head of Hai Phong National Assembly delegation inspected the sites of investment projects for the construction of wharfs No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 in the Hai Phong International Gateway Port area, as well as the Xuan Cau industrial park and the investment project to construct the non-tariff zone.

 

The EC package is showing significant progress, with the total construction volume reaching approximately 70%. The construction of Container Terminals No. 3 and 4 and the Barge Terminal are about 90% complete and to be fully finished by April 2024. The ground treatment and wicking construction covering 14 ha out of 19.7 ha have been handled along with sand filling on approximately 9.8 ha of land. The total realized value of the project has reached about 1,990 billion VND, with a disbursement rate of 100%. HATECO Group Joint Stock Company is investing in the construction of Wharf No. 5 and 6. The project is set to be completed and put into operation by the first quarter of 2025.

During the on-site inspection of port construction projects No. 3, 4, 5, and 6, the City’s Party Committee Secretary, Mr. Le Tien Chau, expressed appreciation to the project investors for their dedication to the construction, resource allocation, and project design since the beginning of the year. The City’s Party Committee Secretary emphasized that the success of businesses contributed to the city’s success and showed commitment to providing the best conditions for businesses to invest in production and achieve success in their operations.

At the Xuan Cau Industrial Park and Non-tariff Zone Construction Investment Project, the City Party Committee Secretary emphasized the importance of establishing the Xuan Cau Industrial Park and Non-Tariff Zone and the system of deep-water wharves at the International Port of Lach Huyen. These projects are to enhance the technical infrastructure, optimize the value chain of Lach Huyen International Port, and foster growth in the non-tariff, logistics, and industrial zones. The Secretary of the city’s Party Committee urged the investor to keep focusing on human resources and allocate necessary means to accelerate construction progress, aiming to complete phase 1 by mid-2025. This achievement will contribute to improving the city's socio-economic development and the entire country./.
