From the town of a poor province, now becoming a new district of Hai Phong city - one of the three angles of the economic development strategy in the North, Kien An has had many changes and more opportunities of continuous rapid development.
Currently, Kien An is having over 100 small and medium enterprises in the fields of advantageous industries such as: ship repairing and building, light and medium truck manufacturing, agricultural and consumption engineering, furnitures, bicycles, food processing, garment and knitting industry and carpentry with traditional village of Kha Lam. Several products have been exported to different countries in the region and the world. Kien An is also a locality to provide training for local labour force of academic and technical skills with 10 universities, colleges and vocational and training schools in Education, Economics, Banking, Transportation, Construction, Aquaculture, Engineering etc.
With the central and provincial assistance, Kien An has made a great effort to be gradually growing by open and hospitable policies. In addition, the district has been making the best use of its potential strengths in socio-economic development in order to turn a charming natural lanscape to become a “Penglai scene” on the earth. Accordingly, Kien An would certainly be an attractive ground for investors as well as a legendary destination for tourists ubiquitously.
