The opening of the Mac Dynasty rural market
On Saturday evening, at Mac clan’s worship place in Co Trai village, Ngu Doan commune, the People's Committee of Kien Thuy district collaborated with Hai Phong Radio and Television Station, the Mac clan Council and the Management Board of Mac clan’s worship relic to open the first edition of Mac Dynasty rural market for 2023. Attending the event were Mr. Pham Van Lap, Member of Hai Phong City’s Standing Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Mr. Dang Ba Cuong, Member of Haiphong Standing Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of Haiphong Party Committee; and Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.
This event was to commemorate the death of the Grand empress dowager Vu Thi Ngoc Toan, wife of Mac Thai To Mac Dang Dung, who, along with other kings of the Mac dynasty, left hallmarks, merits, and precious heritages for the country and people. The restoration of rural market activities of the Mac dynasty is not only a tribute to the precious historical, cultural, and spiritual values of the relic but also introduces and promotes traditional trades and handicraft products from the Mac Dynasty, consumer products, OCOP products, and traditional culinary, thereby boosting trade and production development, production, service business and socio-economic development of localities. The rural market from the Mac dynasty has more than 30 traditional stalls, displaying, introducing, and selling a variety of high-quality and branded agricultural products of big groups and local businesses from descendants of the Mac clan across the country. The event will run until July 31st./.
