Innovation in maritime training
In recent years, Vietnam Maritime University has had many plans and solutions to improve the quality of training and high-quality human resources.  The establishment’s academic environment is scientific, modern, advanced, practical, and effective.

The classrooms, practice rooms, and laboratories have been modernized thanks to investments, while the laboratories are of regional standards. With such a professional training environment, the annual employment rate of graduates is over 90%. The school currently has more than 50 professors and associate professors, more than 200 doctors, and other hundreds of captains, first-class engineers, and marine officers with international qualifications. Besides theory studies, the students of Vietnam Maritime University get to practice with modern simulation equipment, as well as practice at many domestic and foreign enterprises and on the VMU training ship (which can train hundreds of students at the same time and stimulate unlimited international maritime possibilities. With a team of lecturers full of professional knowledge and experience, and good facilities, the quality of training at the university has been continuously improved, keeping up with the advanced countries in Asia.  

The university has also been actively participating in and organizing international seminars and conferences to enhance the University's position and prestige in the region and in the world. Furthermore, it has also signed cooperation agreements with many domestic and foreign partners, and participated in joint programs between key universities, colleges, and intermediate schools, as well as FDI enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones in Hai Phong city. The promotion of international cooperation also helps turn Vietnam Maritime University into a national key university for research and training to serve the sustainable development of the marine economy.
