Previously focused mainly on the domestic market, the company is now investing in a modern seafood processing plant covering 1.5 hectares. Equipped with six production lines, the facility will meet export standards for demanding markets including Japan, South Korea, the United States and Europe.

Hai Phong currently has cultivated more than 2,300 hectares for ragworm farming across several localities, generating average profits of VND 150 million to VND 300 million per hectare. In addition to exporting fresh ragworms to China, many producers have expanded processing into specialty products, increasing value and improving economic returns. The city is home to 13 cooperatives and 12 seafood processing facilities with combined annual processing capacity of more than 83,000 metric tons, meeting over 17% of domestic demand.

Although the number of seafood processing enterprises remains limited, the sector continues to play an important role in adding value to seafood products and expanding both domestic and export markets.

Continued investment in processing technology, brand development and sustainable value chains is expected to support the modernization of Hai Phong's fisheries sector, strengthen its competitiveness and contribute to the city's economic growth.
