Nearly 156 thousand of foreign tourist arrivals to Haiphong
The total number of visitors to Haiphong in the first three months of this year reached 905.3 thousand arrivals, an increase of 11.32 %, in which the foreigners fetched 155.94 thousand arrivals, a rise of 10.21% compared to the same period in 2013. The first-three-month turnover from tourism activities attained VND 463.4 billion, up by 10.73 % against the same period last year. The majority of international tourists visiting Haiphong select Cat Ba as an engaging destination while others take inner-city or countryside tours to some locations as Vinh Bao, Thuy Nguyen, Tien Lang…

Over
the past time, the city has directed the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector,
relevant sectors and districts,
including Do Son and Cat Hai, to
make high concentration on the organization of the 3rd Red Flamboyant Festival
and the ceremony to receive certificate
of special national relic for Cat Ba landscape, concurrently, continuing dissemination
and advertisement on the submission for UNESCO’s recognition of Cat Ba
Archipelago as a World Natural Heritage.
