Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee led the attending delegation. Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee; Mr. Do Manh Hien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Mr. Pham Van Lap, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Council; Mr. Dao Trong Duc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City; along with other members of the City Party Committee, and Vice Chairmen of the City People’s Council and People’s Committee also attended the ceremony.

The launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival 2026 was held at the Square of the City’s Political-Administrative Center. The leaders of Thuy Nguyen City called on the entire Party Committee, military, government, and local people to actively participate in tree planting. The message was clear: “Everyone plants trees,” “Every household plants trees.” Each tree should be cared for, managed, and protected to help minimize the negative effects of environmental pollution and improve the life quality for the people. At the same time, these efforts will raise awareness and responsibility among individuals, communities, and sectors to make planting trees a regular and meaningful activity. This initiative will contribute to the implementation of the Prime Minister's Project "Planting One Billion Trees for the Period 2021-2025." The event also promotes the ongoing campaign: "Everyone plants trees, every household plants trees, the whole population plants trees, and plants forests," in line with socio-economic development, ecological protection, natural disaster mitigation, and climate change adaptation./.
