Ensuring Safe And Convenient Passenger Transportation
On the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday, people from the cities return to their hometowns to celebrate, creating a busy atmosphere. To manage the high passenger volume, it’s essential to mobilize maximum transport resources to clear passengers promptly and avoid congestion at bus stations during peak hours. Additionally, strengthening the inspection of transportation activities, promoting self-discipline and law enforcement awareness among drivers and bus assistants, is crucial during this peak period.

At Vinh Niem Bus Station, the passenger traffic scene is quite busy, with the most crowded routes being long-distance ones such as Hai Phong - Lai Chau and Hai Phong - Lao Cai. The numbers of short-route passengers have remained largely unchanged. There are around 200 trips, with 290-300 passengers.

To serve the public’s travel needs, especially on routes with high passenger demand like Dien Bien, the station management and bus companies have proactively devised plans to accommodate passengers. This approach ensures that no one is left behind due to a lack of available vehicles during Tet. Traffic safety is also a top priority for all parties involved.

Vinh Niem Bus Station currently operates with 65 registered companies, covering 36 inter-provincial routes, with an average of around 200 daily departures. During Tet, this number increases by 1.5 times. According to the plan, long-distance routes will operate until December 28th according to the lunar calendar, while short routes will run until December 29th according to the lunar calendar. On the first day of the New Year, businesses will stop operations. On the second and third days of the New Year, they will operate at 50% capacity, and from the fourth day onward, they will return to normal operations./.
