February alone saw the number of international visitors to Vietnam reach 933,000, a figure 30 times higher than the same period last year. In the first two months of 2023, the number of international tourists welcomed by the tourism sector increased by 36.6 times compared to the same period last year, amongst whom Asian tourists account for nearly 72%. The number of visitors to Vietnam by air also accounted for the largest number, surging 37.8 times in comparison with the same period last year. The number of visitors traveling via maritime transports, despite only humbly reaching 13,000 in 2 months, was still an impressive augmentation.
