Laos Front delegation works in Hai Phong City
Within the framework of the working visit to Hai Phong City, the high-ranking Lao Front delegation led by Mr. Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, President of the Lao Front for National Construction’s (LFNC) Central Committee and his wife has visited and worked in Hai Phong City, on the morning of April 29th. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice-Chairman of Hai Phong City People’s Committee received and led the delegation to survey some areas in the city.
The delegation visited Chau Giang High-tech Agriculture Joint-Stock Company, one of the few enterprises specializing in high-tech agricultural development in Hai Phong City. With an elaborate orchid planting net-house system, the company’s annual average production activities result in about 1 million units with a revenue of VND 100 billion.
On the visit to the Bach Dang Giang relic site in Minh Duc township, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong City’s leader and Laotian delegation offered incense to commemorate the contributions made by King Ngo Quyen, who began the Vietnamese feudal period with the victory of Bach Dang River Battle against the Southern Han in 938 and King Le Dai Hanh, who re-created the second Bach Dang victory in 981. The monarch had contributed to defeating the Tong and Champa armies and founded the powerful Dai Co Viet dynasty and the Tran dynasty’s Grand General Tran Quoc Tuan, Prince of Hung Dao, who commanded the Dai Viet army and people to defeat the Yuan – Mongol invaders in 1288.
The Laos Front Delegation had the opportunity to understand more about the history and patriotic traditions of the Vietnamese people, a peace-loving country hoping to develop friendly relationships with other countries in the world./.
