Bach Long Vi – an attractive destination for tourists
Bach Long Vi island district is one of the eight major fishery zones and the most remote island in the Gulf of Tonkin. Thanks to the wilder features and the hospitality of the people, this place is an ideal destination for those who love the sea and islands of our nation.

It takes 6-7 hours by ship to go to Bach Long Vi. Thus the first experience of visitors can be... seasickness. A bit of good advice for first-timers in Bach Long Vi is to take anti-motion sickness medicine and then take a nap on the ship going to Bach Long Vi dock, the most vibrant and bustling place on the island, with hundreds of ships and boats moored every day. To the left of the dock is a beautiful long sandy beach where visitors can organize bonfires, have cultural exchanges, swim, and gaze at the sun. Seafood in Bach Long Vi, aside from its richness in variety, is especially fresh and delicious.
Besides eating and swimming, tourists can also visit the Bach Long Vi lighthouse and the Buddhist temple on the top of the mountain, as well as enjoy the panoramic view of the island’s beauty whose name means “the white dragon tail”. Bach Long Vi island district has implemented many important projects such as building a wind power system, clean water supply system, and built the infrastructure in service of the tourists.
To help people have a firm grasp on the travel itinerary on Bach Long Vi Island, in the recent years, Hai Phong Youth Volunteer Team has collaborated with a number of domestic tourism units to bring tourists to Bach Long Vi Island.
