The report presented at the meeting showed that the city's socio-economy remained basically stable in the first nine months of 2026, with growth maintained across various industries and sectors. GRDP continued to grow at a double-digit rate, estimated at 11.73%. The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) remained a major growth driver, rising 15.14%. Trade, imports-exports, seaport and tourism activities continued to grow positively.

Total state budget revenue in the city was estimated at more than VND162 trillion, up 11.7% year on year and 5.9% above the revenue target. Regarding public investment disbursement, as of September 27, 2026, the city had disbursed more than VND28.76 trillion, equivalent to 77.8% of the plan after deducting 5% in spending savings.

In the remaining months of the year, the city has set out 10 groups of key tasks, focusing on fundamentally renewing the growth model; continuing to significantly improve the investment and business environment; managing budget revenue and expenditure and public investment disbursement closely and effectively, while mobilizing resources for growth; strengthening planning and urban and rural development, and developing strategic infrastructure alongside stronger regional connectivity; promoting research, application and transfer of science and technology and innovation, accelerating digital transformation; and improving the effectiveness of two-tier local government operations and administrative reform.
