Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority Worked With Chinese Business Delegation
On the afternoon of August 13th, Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority hosted a reception and working session with a Chinese business delegation to explore the investment environment and cooperation opportunities in Hai Phong City.
The Chinese delegation, including representatives from 28 Chinese businesses, attended the meeting to understand more about Hai Phong’s investment environment and preferential policies for foreign investors, especially those involved in producing high-tech wind power-fused products. During the session, investors raised concerns about administrative procedures related to foreign direct investment, housing and salary issues for workers, as well as land and energy leasing policies for industrial production.
Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority has informed the delegation about the advantages of Hai Phong, including its status as the third largest city in Vietnam, a hub for industrial development, a major seaport in the North, and its strategic location with excellent transport infrastructure and a well-developed vocational training system. Hai Phong is developing a new economic zone in the south with a green, sustainable model linked to Nam Do Son Port and Tien Lang International Airport. The Economic Zone Authority emphasized that Hai Phong always welcomes investors and is committed to supporting foreign direct investment enterprises throughout their operations. The city is particularly interested in projects with high technology, environmental benefits, technology transfer, and collaboration with domestic companies. Currently, Hai Phong has attracted approximately 31 billion USD in FDI, with 90% in industrial parks and economic zones, including 217 projects from Chinese investors, with a total capital of about 5.6 billion USD./.
