Hai Phong promotes sustainable development boosts investment attraction
Hai Phong has identified the development of sustainable and eco-industrial parks and economic zones as a key driver to enhance competitiveness, attract investment, and meet tougher investor requirements related to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards, green technologies and compliance with international standards. Our reporter has more.
Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park is among the first industrial parks in Viet Nam developed by domestic enterprises under the eco-industrial park model. It is currently in the final stage of completing certification as an eco-industrial park. The park has reached 100% occupancy in both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
To gain competitiveness in attracting “green” and “sustainable” capital flows, Hai Phong has introduced a range of incentives to promote the development of green industrial parks and economic zones. The newly established southern coastal economic zone of Hai Phong is a prime example of a circular and sustainable economic model.
Adhering to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards and adopting sustainable business practices help improve operational efficiency, conserve energy and resources, and reduce long-term costs. Investment in green technologies, the digital economy and digital transformation to foster innovation is considered a sustainable pathway. With strong determination, Hai Phong is fostering trust within the business community in realizing its green transition, creating favorable conditions for investors focused on ESG and sustainable development to grow and succeed in the city.
