City's socio-economic statistics in 2025 officially announced
In 2025, the world economy slowed down as inflation is not yet fully under control. However, the Vietnamese economy still maintained positive growth momentum, and the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city in 2025 obtained impressive achievements, affirming its position as a growth driver for the region and Vietnam. This morning, the City Statistics Department announced the socio-economic statistics for the city in 2025.

The city's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2025 is estimated to increase by 11.81% compared to 2024. Although this does not meet the set target (12.35%), it affirms the city's leading position, ranking first among the six centrally-run cities, second nationwide, and second in the Red River Delta region (after Quang Ninh province, which increased by 11.89%).
