Maintaining Construction Speed On Key Projects During The Holiday
The investment project to build container terminals No. 3 and 4 in Haiphong International Gateway Port under the investment of Hai Phong Port JSC., operated since 2021, is expected to be completed in 2025. The investor actively cooperates with the contractor to accelerate the construction throughout the holiday to ensure progress.
In the main package EC, the entire berth is 750m long and 40m wide and has been concreted since August 29th and has fundamentally completed the buffer bridge item. With embankment items behind the bridge: the driving of piles D700, piling SW840 behind the buffer bridge, and after the barge berth, shell installation is 100%. The panel installation and concrete pouring are 65% done, and the construction of the stone embankment under the berth has been 30% finished.
The staff maintains weekly briefings seriously, regularly updating progress and removing problems. Hundreds of workers and engineers of the Project Management Board still stay at the construction site during the holiday. For leveling and building yards behind the dock, the cumulative geo-accumulator construction has reached over 83%, and the accumulated sand pump has reached over 90%.
The “investment project to build container terminals No. 3 and 4 in Haiphong International Gateway Port” has a total investment capital of more than VND 6,900 billion, a construction scale of 2 container terminals for ships up to 100,000 DWT and 750m long, a barge berth that provides service for ships up to 3,000DWT with a total length of 250m, with auxiliary works and synchronous technical infrastructure on an area of 47ha. The project’s strategic importance urges the investor to prioritize resources and coordinate with the parties to focus on construction to ensure the set schedule.
