On the side of the city's leaders, there were Mr. Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Nguyen Cao Thang, Director of the City Department of Science and Technology.

Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Bui Duc Quang emphasized that in the new development period, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Hai Phong city has been increasingly aware that science, technology, innovation and digital transformation has been not only supporting tools, but also but must really become an important driving force to innovate the growth model, improve productivity, governance capacity and competitiveness of the city. Data is identified as a new resource. Artificial intelligence is an important tool for extracting value from data. Automation is a method to bring analysis and forecasting results into management, production and life activities. Technology is only really meaningful when it creates specific effects, better serves people and businesses and improves the quality of urban governance. The theme of the Forum focused on clarifying key issues, which have practical significance for the digital transformation process and development orientation of Hai Phong city: how to connect data, artificial intelligence and automation into a system for city governance and development.

At the Forum, the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong City and the National Economics University signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen the connection between state management agencies and leading training and research institutions in the fields of economics, management and public policy.

Also at the Forum, the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong City and Starlink Services Viet Nam Co., Ltd. organized the handover of Starlink terminals and satellite services to Bach Long Vy Special Zone and Cat Hai Special Zone. The initial handover puts the cooperation content into practical implementation, serving communication, direction, administration and response to natural disasters and disasters in sea and island areas.

Through practical presentations and exchanges, the Forum contributed to identifying opportunities and challenges and proposing suitable solutions to the conditions of Hai Phong and also promote the application of digital technology in urban management, logistics, industry, trade, services and other fields of social life. Thereby, creating a driving force for building digital government, digital economy, digital society and smart city will contribute to improving competitiveness and better serving people and businesses./.
