Hai Phong port posts 60.4 % profit growth in first half
Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company reported strong business growth in the first six months of the year, supported by production expansion, infrastructure investment, digital transformation and management reforms.
Cargo throughput reached more than 24.3 million tons in the first half, up 26.7% from a year earlier. Container volume rose 31.5% to 1.22 million TEUs.
Revenue increased 28.7% from the same period last year, while first-half profit is expected to rise 60.4% compared with the first six months of 2025.
For the second half of the year, the company aims to raise total cargo throughput to more than 33 million tons, contributing to its full-year target of 57.3 million tons. Container throughput is targeted at 2.96 million TEUs, with second-half revenue projected at 1.8 trillion dong and full-year revenue approaching 3.5 trillion dong.
To achieve those targets, the company plans to attract additional shipping services and carriers to Tan Vu Terminal once it is fully qualified to receive vessels of up to 55,000 DWT. It will also expand cooperation with strategic shipping lines, modernize its information technology systems, accelerate automation and digital applications, improve operational efficiency and develop a Smart Port ecosystem featuring integrated data management and intelligent port operations in line with international standards.
