This year, the Hai Phong Tax Department was tasked with a revenue target of 45 trillion VND by the city People’s Council, including 14.5 trillion VND from land use fees and 3 trillion VND from land rentals. As of now, the city’s domestic revenue collection is estimated at 48.566 trillion VND, achieving 129% of the central government’s target and 107.9% of the People’s Council’s target. Specifically, 17 out of 18 indexes met or exceeded the central government’s target, while 16 out of 18 indexes met or exceeded the People's Council’s target.

To achieve these results, the city’s tax sector effectively implemented its tax management functions in 2024 by focusing on promoting new tax policies through diverse channels, accelerating the progress and quality of tax inspections, audits, and anti-tax evasion measures; Strictly controlling VAT refunds and enhancing debt recovery efforts, improving administrative procedures, advancing digital transformation, and supporting businesses and individuals in their production and business activities. These efforts have not only driven economic growth but also contributed significantly to increasing state budget revenue./.
