Tourist site draw crowds during national day holiday
The five-day National Day holiday this year has drawn large numbers of residents and visitors to tourist sites, attractions and entertainment venues across the city, as people take the opportunity to sightsee and enjoy a range of activities.
Hai Phong Museum is among the destinations attracting large crowds during the holiday. Its exhibits, rich in historical and architectural value and presented in an impressive setting, offer visitors a deeper insight into Hai Phong and its people through artifacts from different periods. For many young people, the museum is also a new place to explore, take photos and capture moments during the holiday. A highlight is a series of hands-on activities showcasing traditional culture. Residents and visitors can make mung bean cakes, carve and print woodblocks, weave wartime straw hats, decorate earthenware with traditional patterns, make pottery and practice calligraphy.
Many coffee shops were also busy this morning. Their comfortable settings and varied decor have made them popular choices for families and groups of friends looking to meet, chat and spend time together after days of work and study.
On the first day of the holiday, a number of historical and cultural sites also welcomed large numbers of visitors for sightseeing and worship. At Kiep Bac Temple, crowds began arriving early in the morning to offer incense, visit the site and enjoy its fresh natural surroundings while learning more about its historical and cultural significance.
The scenery and range of activities at Con Son Stream have also attracted residents and visitors. An estimated 1,265 people visited the Con Son-Kiep Bac Special National Relic Site on the first day of the holiday.
There is no need to travel far, as nearby destinations offering a variety of spaces and activities have met residents' needs for sightseeing, relaxation and new experiences. The lively atmosphere seen this morning has also marked a cheerful start to the National Day holiday in Hai Phong.
