Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoàng Minh and Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong acknowledged and appraised the achievements of the city's science and technology sector in 2024, urging the sector to continue its efforts and strive even harder to contribute to the successful realization of the 2025 theme. Specifically, the Deputy Minister and the Vice Chairman emphasized the urgent need to complete the proposal for merging the Department of Science and Technology with the Department of Information and Communications in accordance with the set timeline; Seriously, decisively, and effectively implementing the organizational restructuring and streamlining process as per Resolution No. 18 and the directives from the Central Government and the city; Advising the city in implementing Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

On this occasion, the Department of Science and Technology and three individuals were awarded certificates of merit from the Minister of Science and Technology for their outstanding contributions to organizing the Techfest Vietnam 2024. Several other organizations and individuals were also honored and rewarded for their contributions to science and technology activities in 2024./.
