Implementing 2026-2027 academic year tasks
This morning, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung chaired a national conference in Hanoi to review the 2025-2026 academic year and set out tasks for 2026-2027. The conference was connected online with 34 provinces and centrally - run cities. Hai Phong People’s Committee Chairmann Do Thanh Trung attended the conference at the Hai Phong venue.

During the 2025–2026 academic year, the education sector focused on implementing breakthrough tasks to develop education and improve the quality of human resources, in conjunction with science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, in line with Politburo Resolutions No. 71 and No. 57. A number of policies concerning teachers, learners, universal education, education data, vocational education, higher education and digital transformation were introduced. Notably, digital transformation in education has shifted from building platforms to effectively utilizing data and delivering substantive services.
Under the theme “Innovative Thinking – Strong Transformation – Substantive Results,” the Government has asked the education sector to focus on comprehensively reforming its governance system; addressing bottlenecks related to personnel and facilities; bringing about clear improvements in education quality, discipline and school safety; while continuing to accelerate digital transformation and the comprehensive application of artificial intelligence.
