The 8th Hai Phong Japanese Speech Contest - 2024 attracted significant attention and participation, particularly from Japanese language enthusiasts. Following a preliminary round of essay submissions, the Organizing Committee selected 20 candidates from Group A and 10 from Group B to participate in the interview round. From there, the top five candidates in each group were chosen to compete in the Final Round. During the final round, the contestants delivered presentations and responded to questions from the judges. The contest aimed to help speakers hone communication, presentation, and eloquence skills in Japanese, foster the continued learning and use of the language, as well as showcase the culture and people of Hai Phong City to an international audience. This cultural exchange also helps strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Japan, promoting cooperation between the two countries and their respective localities, especially as Hai Phong City continues to attract significant investments from Japanese businesses./.
