In his opening remarks, Colonel Le Duc Thanh, Deputy Director of Hai Phong Police, emphasized that amid increasingly sophisticated fake news, malicious information and online scams, the Hai Phong Digital Trust Club was established to build a community-oriented network of action.

The model serves as a bridge connecting the police force, state management agencies, the media, businesses and the influencer community, helping spread positive values, raise awareness of digital safety, combat fake news, protect children online and contribute to safeguarding national security in the new situation.

At the event, delegates watched a report titled “KOLs Accompanying Hai Phong City” and participated in two lively panel discussions on the themes “Joining Hands to Combat Fake News – Building Digital Trust” and “Spreading Positive Values – Taking Action for the Community.”

The highlight of the event was the launch ceremony for the Hai Phong Digital Trust Club and the official opening of its electronic information portal at niemtinso.haiphong.gov.vn. The portal provides guides on preventing and combating fake news, handbooks warning about online scam tactics, and an online membership registration channel for individuals and organizations.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Bui Quang Binh, Director of Hai Phong Police, expressed his sincere appreciation for the support of the city’s leaders, media agencies, artists, businesses and the influencer community. He affirmed that ensuring information security cannot simply mean responding to harmful content after it emerges; instead, authorities must proactively create a healthy information environment by “using positive values to overcome negative ones.”

The Director of Hai Phong Police asked the club to quickly move into substantive operations and maintain regular coordination mechanisms rather than becoming a formal or symbolic initiative. Hai Phong Police will serve as the focal point for providing official information, guiding public opinion and issuing early warnings about potential risks.

At the same time, he called on KOLs and content creators to innovate in communicating legal knowledge by turning it into relatable stories, images and videos that are easy to understand, so that every social media account can become a “digital trust ambassador.” Together, they can help build a safe and civilized online environment that supports Hai Phong’s sustainable development.
