OCOP Product Displays in Hong Bang District
On the evening of May 10th, at To Huu Flower Park, the Peoples Committee of Hong Bang district organized a program to display and introduce handicrafts and OCOP products in response to the campaign to “prioritize Vietnamese products. The activity celebrates major holidays in May 2024, the 69th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2024), and the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong in 2024.

The program takes place from May 10th to 18th in the To Huu Flower Garden with an exhibition area of about 2,000 square meters and 120 booths including handmade items, fine arts products, OCOP products from many businesses, cooperatives, and production and business establishments of Hong Bang district and many provinces and cities across the country, creating favorable conditions for businesses, cooperatives, and establishments to participate, produce, promote and introduce products to consumers, stabilize the market and improve people's lives.
Product display and introduction activities help promote and raise awareness and trust in the quality and brands of Vietnamese products, effectively implementing the campaign to "prioritize Vietnamese products".
Speaking at the opening program, Ms. Le Thi Van, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the District People's Committee requested relevant departments, branches, and units to proactively ensure security, order, fire safety, and traffic safety, avoiding congestion in the area where exhibition activities are held; Promote the event to all officials, civil servants, workers in the district and people in the area about the program; Advocate in appropriate forms so that people know, understand, and trust in the quality of Vietnamese products, goods, and services. Ms. Vice Chairwoman requested participating units to only display and introduce products within premises permitted by the city and district and to comply with regulations on fire safety, security, and order.
Many exciting cultural and artistic activities take place to entertain people and tourists, such as dancing and flashmobs. Hong Bang district organized a dance and folk dance exchange program with the participation of more than 10 folk dance teams throughout the city. The activity created a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people of Hong Bang district in particular and the city as the 2024 Red Flamboyant Flower Festival approaches./.
