New Flamboyant Train and Tourist Destination at Hai Phong Railway Station
On the morning of May 10, Vietnam Railways Corporation coordinated with Hai Phong City to organize the Ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize Hai Phong Station as a "Tourist Destination" and launch the Red Flamboyant Train. This is one of the events to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) - Heroic City and respond to the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025.

Attending the event were Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho; leaders of Vietnam Railways Corporation; and leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The train consists of 20 brand new coaches, designed with the Red Flamboyant color symbolizing Hai Phong city. The coach’s interior is modernly designed, in harmony with the diverse history of architectural and cultural exchange of the Port City, of which two special highlights are designed in the Indochinese style. To meet the increasing needs of passengers, Vietnam Railways Corporation has comprehensively renovated and upgraded the passenger carriages with modern amenities such as semi-automatic doors, LED screens, free wifi, etc.
The launch of the Red Flamboyant train demonstrates a strong determination to make railways a top choice for green tourism trends.
With the unique ancient French architecture, Hai Phong Station is not only a transportation hub but also a work with deep historical, cultural, and artistic values associated with the formation and development of the Port City, attracting tourists to visit and check in. Hai Phong Station is recognized as a tourist destination, a worthy recognition for a heritage that preserves the historical and cultural imprints of the city, contributing to enhancing the value of this place./.
