The new ferry, which is 15 meters wide and 58 meters long, consists of three floors. The third floor serves as the driver's cabin, while the two lower floors are designated for passengers. The first floor is designed to carry 9 45-seat passenger cars and 40 motorbikes, with spacious corridors equipped with toilets, lifebuoys, and fire extinguishers. The hallway between the first and second floors offers spacious seating for passenger convenience. The second floor serves as a waiting area with air conditioning and approximately 200 seats. With a tonnage of nearly 200 tons, the new ferry is double the size of the old ferry and can accommodate 150% more passengers and vehicles. Additionally, the ferry is equipped with lifting and lowering mechanisms at the bow to facilitate easy docking at the new, modern ferry terminal. Before officially operating, the new ferry is undergoing test runs. Once operational, it is expected to alleviate traffic congestion in the Cat Ba tourist area caused by the limited capacity of the old Got ferry and the current Dong Bai ferry.
