Promoting Cooperation Between Hai Phong And Cuba
On the morning of June 13th, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee and Head of Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation had a meeting with Mr. Orlando Hernández Guillén, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam on his visit and working in Hai Phong City.

Welcoming the Cuban Ambassador Orlando Hernández Guillén to visit Hai Phong City, the City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau emphasized that as one of the growth poles in the North, in recent years, Hai Phong has always been among the top development of Vietnam with double-digit growth. Haiphong also has an attractive investment environment for domestic and foreign investors. Hai Phong City Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau hoped that the visit of the Cuban Ambassador would open up many partnership opportunities between the city and Cuba in many fields. He hoped the Cuban Ambassador would continue to support and create favorable conditions to help Hai Phong become twinned with provinces and cities in Cuba that share similarities with Haiphong to exchange experiences and cooperate for development. The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in tourism, health, and agriculture.
For his part, Cuban Ambassador Orlando Hernández Guillén expressed his deep impression of Hai Phong - a port city with strong development and an attractive investment destination. Emphasizing the special relationship between Cuba and Vietnam, Mr. Orlando Hernández Guillén affirmed that over the past 60 years, the two countries have always nurtured and strengthened their friendly relations, promoting diplomatic cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries. Regarding the proposals of the Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee on expanding cooperation between the two sides, the Cuban Ambassador hoped to continue to promote cooperation and share experiences with Hai Phong City to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Cuba further./.
